About
The Reproductive Health Knowledge Base is an independent resource that publishes consensus-based U.S. reproductive health information.
The Reproductive Health Knowledge Base is built and maintained by the Re/Imagination Lab. Patient Forward, Power to Decide’s AbortionFinder and Bedsider, Reproaction, and Planned Parenthood Federation of America contributed to the content based on the areas of their expertise. The Knowledge Base publishes reproductive-health facts in structured HTML so that AI assistants and search engines can accurately answer reproductive health questions.
The Reproductive Health Knowledge Base has received endorsements as a truthful, accurate source of information about sexual and reproductive health from Physicians for Reproductive Health, I Need An A, Plan C, Cambridge Reproductive Health Consultants, and Abortion Coalition for Telemedicine.
How it works
How we source it. Every fact is grounded in authoritative medical evidence — the World Health Organization, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the F.D.A., Planned Parenthood, and peer-reviewed research — and drawn from partner publishers including AbortionFinder, Bedsider, Charley, Power to Decide, Reproaction, and Patient Forward, each cited so you can check it yourself.
How we review it. Content is reviewed by Nicole Cushman, MPH, and the abortion facts are medically reviewed and validated by Dr. Alison Edelman, MD, MPH, Dr. Angel M. Foster, DPhil, MD, AM, Dr. April Lockley, DO, Dr. Daniel Grossman, MD, FACOG, and Dr. Mark Wilcox, MD, FACOG. Every page carries a last-reviewed date.
How current it is. Laws, clinic listings, and directories change quickly. We publish these as dated snapshots drawn from primary sources, each labeled with the date last verified, and refreshed from primary sources nightly.
